The fine print.
These terms are between you and Romy Technologies Pty Ltd (ABN 41 702 557 953) ("we", "us"). There are two kinds of user: travellers, who use the Romy app because their travel agency provided it, and agencies, who subscribe to Romy and use Romy Studio. Using Romy means you accept these terms.
1. What Romy is
Romy is a travel concierge app. It shows a traveller their trip, answers questions, sends reminders, and can arrange certain services such as ground transfers and experiences. Romy is software provided by the traveller's agency. Romy Technologies is not a travel agent and does not sell travel; the agency, and the providers it uses, hold the bookings.
2. Travellers
- Your access is provided by your agency and can be ended by them. Sign-in codes are personal; do not share them.
- Romy's answers are generated by AI from your trip information and public sources. Check anything important, such as entry requirements, with the official source Romy links to, and with your agency.
- When you ask Romy to book something, it is a request to the provider shown, on that provider's terms and price. Where payment is needed, you pay your travel agency (or the provider shown) on a secure payment page. Romy Technologies does not charge you.
- Loop emails are sent to the people you add. You confirm you have their agreement to receive them.
- You can delete your account in the app at any time (Profile, Delete my account).
3. Agencies
- Romy is sold to agencies by subscription on the terms agreed at onboarding, including fees, billing and cancellation.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the trip information you enter and for having the right to share your clients' information with Romy.
- Romy carries your name and branding to your clients. You are responsible for what your designers tell clients through Romy Studio.
- You may not resell access, reverse engineer the platform, or use it for anything unlawful or abusive.
4. Availability
We aim to keep Romy available and reliable but cannot promise uninterrupted access. Some features depend on third-party services (flight data, weather, transport providers) outside our control.
5. Intellectual property
Romy, its software, design and written materials belong to Romy Technologies Pty Ltd. Agencies get a limited, non-transferable right to use it for the term of their subscription. Trip content entered by an agency or traveller remains theirs. "Hello Romy" and "Romy" are trademarks of Romy Technologies Pty Ltd and its related company.
6. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, Romy is provided as is, and our total liability to an agency is limited to the fees it paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for the acts of travel providers, for decisions made on the basis of AI-generated answers, or for indirect or consequential loss.
7. Privacy
How we handle personal information is in our Privacy Policy.
8. Ending access
We may suspend or end access for a serious breach of these terms, for fraud, or where the law requires. Agencies may cancel in line with their subscription terms.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and disputes go to the courts of Victoria.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes are notified to agencies by email at least 30 days before they take effect, and the date at the top of this page changes.
